One additional benefit is that the Duralast Coils have a free replacement for life. FWIW I put about 4 coils on my old 2007 and never had one fail over the course of 5 years and ~50k miles.

Pros: free replacement, never failed, reliable
Vehicle: Honda Fit
Mileage: 80467 km

Duralast Ignition coil

I went to Autozone and purchased a set of Duralast Ignition coils for $300, swapped all 4 and the car idled as good as new. I don't know if the Duralast coils will last very long, but they do have a no questions asked lifetime warranty so I can just get them replaced everytime it goes out.

Pros: idled as good as new
Cons: longevity is unknown
Vehicle: Kia
Mileage: 108000 km

Don't mess with anything other than Denso for either. OEM is the way to go, especially if you are trying to fix something with the old "parts cannon." I got a Denso coil from Walmart for a good price, around $75 ea.

Pros: OEM quality, good price

In January 2021, with about 40k miles, the coils went bad. I replaced them with quality Duralast coils (made by Bosch) and new iridium spark plugs. Fast forward 6 months, and I had a misfire again in cylinder 2, so I am now on my 3rd set in less than a year. The Duralast coils have a lifetime warranty, so whenever they go bad, I can just swap them out at Autozone for no money, and it takes all of 10 minutes to swap them. But I dont want my car misfiring and breaking down at an inopportune time.

Pros: lifetime warranty, easy replacement
Cons: repeated misfires, frequent failure
Vehicle: Hyundai Sonata

I myself have tried Duralast brand coils on 3 different vehicles. They were all crap. Either they didnt last very long. Or were faulty right out of the box. I dont like to use the Duralast brand in general. Have had to many bad experiences.

Cons: did not last, faulty
