Jetta headlights
Never in my Mk7. But in the CPO Arteon, I got flashed at quite a bit. I adjusted them down.
I activated the DLA and euro functions of my headlights on my 2023 Arteon SEL Premium with a few clicks on OBDEleven. Works fantastic!
In my case, about 1/2 to 3/4 CCW turn with philips screwdriver did the trick - now headlights aim just a little higher on each side… Importantly, I am not getting flashed by oncoming drivers while using the low-beam headlights.
I ended up adjusting mine by 0.5 turns and they're great now. I guess yours could be even worse from the factory than mine were.
Don't buy Eagle Eyes. I have used them for other vehicles, but on my GMT800 they broke on the mounting pin holes within a year.
I replaced with Akkon brand in 2019 and they are still trucking, seem to be good quality.
Definitely upgrade the headlights to HID's, stock they are marginal at best.
VW OEM parts are expensive as fuck, VW Dealers wont give you the part number so you can source it cheaper either, they're called stealerships for a reason, partners VW Beetle was $1500 for 1 headlight.
I bought some “eagle eyes” brand lights on eBay that look SO CLOSE to OEM, $250 for the pair. They’re crap. And turning the screws won’t even adjust them. They’re literal crap. They point at the ground and I can’t even see more than twenty feet in front of me at night.
I’ve been dealing with the same issue for months. Got into a minor fender bender that led to the driver’s side headlight being replaced. The first had damage to the high beam, the second arrived with a scratch across the lens, number 3 filled with condensation that turned into huge water droplets within a day, and number 4 is doing the same. All OEM headlights directly through VW.
