Guys, I have successfully retrofitted genuine SEL Premium LED headlights to the car. This was the most challenging retrofit I'd ever done, not because of the wiring, but because of the coding and troubleshooting.

Pros: successfully retrofitted
Cons: challenging retrofit

I apologize for being so excited and impressed, but I never had a car with the feature of automatic high-beams. I experienced it just now for the first time coming home from dinner with my wife on our weekly Date Night. It's Awesome!!! I love it!!! The automatic high-beams were amazing!!! Honestly, it's also a bit of an easter Egg for me with my \"new\" 2019 Golf R. The 2019 Golf R also has very good headlight high-beams! My 2010 Golf TDI has great Xenon high-beams too, but the LEDs in the 2019 Golf R are even better!

Pros: amazing automatic high-beams

Replaced them with some Depo lights from RockAuto. Plug and play again, and WHAM! Beam pattern? Lovely. Clarity? Perfect. Leveling? Works, but not even needed. They were good out of box.

Pros: Lovely beam pattern, Perfect clarity, Works out of box

DEPO is about the best you could get as far as aftermarket goes. everything else are about a few tiers off as light output concern. but then compare to OEM it's still not as good.

Pros: best aftermarket
Cons: not as good as OEM
Vehicle: Nissan

I bought an 06 depo replacement headlight awhile back and I returned it immediately. The seals looked fine but I was intending on resealing them anyways since these depos tend to fog up quite a bit and rather quickly too. Every Z I’ve seen locally here with the blacked housing depos have always had moisture in their headlights and clearcoat fading. But anyways, the headlight i received had finger prints and smudges on all the chrome bits inside the housing and something was either broken or rattling every time I would pick it up. The bulb sockets for the turn signal and city light were stripped so the plugs couldn’t really lock into place. Just felt really cheap overall.

Cons: prone to fogging
Vehicle: Nissan

Depo’s aren’t a quality product. That’s why a pair cost less than 1 oem 06+ light. You’d have to more than likely reseal it to stop it from fogging on the inside

Cons: not quality product

In my experience, get the OE ones (Magneti Marelli) or none at all. I bought a Depo one way back when, it looked the same as these pics but the light output was not as good and the level motors were noisy and cheap sounding.

Pros: get OE ones
Cons: light output not good
