My Depo headlights had the same damn problem. After posting my question a dozen times, I finally got the right answer: see onebdgti's first post in this thread: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3122967 Had to get a very pointy set of tweezers and move a wire over in the connector.
My depo headlights were solid as hell. I ran a bead of silicone around the edges and didn't have a single issue. Light output was increased from stock as well.
I have the DEPOT E-codes and In the mornings sometimes when I engage my left blinker it blows the fuse. other than that I LOVE the look of them...
I purchased these lights 2 weeks ago. Received them in only three days. I'm extremely happy with the transaction and the item itself. Works great and a definite improvement over the stock lights.
I had DEPO's and they are just fine. You will need a new plug, your old one wont work, but other than that, DEPO's are OK. Definitely shine better than stock, and if you swap the adjustment mechanisms from the stock lights you have now, they will outlast your car.
stey away from depo... All the beam pattern I had seen from them SUCKS!!
Absolute garbage.. cheap, and you get what you pay for.
