I went with depo there great quality never had issues with mine .
Otherwise lookup DEPO brand, they’re pretty decent and not $1,400 each like the oem HR headlights.
The DEPO headlights will be a really good upgrade over the 03-05 headlights.
Replaced them with some Depo lights from RockAuto. Plug and play again, and WHAM! Beam pattern? Lovely. Clarity? Perfect. Leveling? Works, but not even needed. They were good out of box.
Mine are going on 5 years probably and holding up great! I highly recommend retrofitting a xenon or led bulb in there (I left the high beams halogen). Much brighter and the color of the light is much more modern.
I have some from eBay by eagle eye. They are black housing and they look great, but I wish I sealed them with silicone before I installed them because they fog up after a car wash.
I have the smoked DEPO's. I love them so far. The H1 output isn't great but I plan to upgrade to LED's or HID sometime. I do recommend getting LAMIN-X to protect the lenses from pitting and put an additional bit of clear silicone sealant around the edge of the lens. DEPO's used to have an issue with leaking. I found a suspect spot on mine so I added additional sealant to ensure no leaks. No problem after 1 year.
Those are Depo headlights, so not OEM. The angel eyes on them are made up of a few individual bulbs in each ring, not sure if they're easy to remove/replace though.
I tried some Depo/Helix halogen projector headlights for my wife's 2.5 Jetta some years ago. The optics were terrible.
depo doesn’t seal them as well as they should.
