Running it in my Subaru outback 2.5 with 50k miles. I noticed a difference in the first 1k miles.
Better compression and better mileage (2 to 3 mpg!) a lot quieter!
Also running it in Subaru outback 2.4 turbo with 30k miles. A bit better. Not huge. But noticing.
Also a lot quieter!
Nah. I have a 2006 Merc 4.0. 183K. I run high mileage Valvoline 10W-30 oil. My Merc does not burn oil. Runs great.
Valvoline Restore and Protect. This newly designed oil can, and does, remove up to 100% of engine deposits. Including those found on and around the piston rings. A major contributing factor to oil blow-by, or general usage between oil changes. It take a couple 4k mile oil changes to work. Everything I have researched shows that it does work and many, most even, report a significant reduction in burning oil between oil changes, but do your own research! :) I wasn't having oil burning issues in my 8th gen, but still ran it through a couple times because it certainly won't hurt anything!
Assuming you don’t have an obvious oil leak, which at that rate it would be, the best you can do is try to switch to Valvoline Restore and Protect oil. It’s getting rave reviews for its ability to clean piston rings on bobistheoilguy.
Just use valvoline restore and protect and you’re safe to go! My elantra is a 2021 with 43k miles and I haven’t had even one issue with the engine so far. I bought it with 41k miles and there’s nothing like the peace of mind I sense knowing I can rely on it to take me where I need to go. Idk if it’s the oil or what, but I’m impressed.
Valvaline Restore & protect is the best oil to use when getting up there in miles. It slowly cleans the engine. It’s all i run in all my vehicles now. My Clarity has 133k miles with no issues.
I use 5w-30 Valvoline Restore & Protect, I’m from the SoCal low desert region. Never had an issue, changed every 5,000 miles (nearly once a months cause I commute so much for work).
Started using restore and protect a few months and 4k miles ago. No leaks either.
esse óleo da foto é ótimo, a Total é uma empresa bastante reconhecida e fornecedora do óleo "original" Peugeot já há um bom tempo.
Currently on valvoline and it does seem good, not sure if it's better than the elf in the short run but long run could tell different results.
