VALVOLINE Engine oil

Y'all might call me a heretic for running Valvoline restore and protect 5w30 in my 4.0T.

Any oil that meets API SP and is the right viscosity grade more than likely is at least as good as the oils specified by the OEMs.

Pros: at least as good
Vehicle: Audi

VALVOLINE Engine oil

I don't know what it's doing inside my engine but I just did my 2nd oil change with R&P and noticed my dipstick looks new now. No signs of any varnish, just shiny clean metal.

Pros: dipstick looks new, clean
Vehicle: Nissan
Mileage: 73000 km

Same tayo ng Unit OP (Aerox V2)

Mileage: 24500 km

Shell Engine oil

Tried Shell Advance Ultra once no complaints, felt a bit quieter overall But I went back to Motul because the bike just felt more responsive with it.

Pros: quieter overall
Cons: less responsive

Pros: smoother and quieter
Cons: tick on startup

Shell Engine oil

Everyone has their preferences, at the end of the day it doesn't really matter, just change it regularly. I've used Mobil1, Pennzoil, LiquiMoly, Royal Purple, Rotella and probably a couple others I'm forgetting. No noticeable difference between any of them.

Pros: no noticeable difference
Vehicle: BMW

I switched to Rotella T6 (5w-40 Full Synth) after running Penzoil, Chevron, Castrol, Mobil, regular non-high mileage 10w-30 dinos in that order over 4000 miles. Worst of this bunch was Mobil and Chevron, the HLA tick was unbearable, even right after the oil change.

Pros: engine cleaned up
Cons: HLA tick unbearable
Mileage: 4000 km
