Engine oil VALVOLINE or OEM Toyota

OEM Toyota Engine oil

I have a 2015 Tacoma 4-cylinder stick shift 52,000 mi. I bought it new. The only maintenance I had to do was oil changes and I go underneath with a grease gun and grease all the fittings along the axle.

OEM Toyota Engine oil

Just got the oil lab report back from the sample taken during the oil change I did at 15K miles. The previous oil change at 10K was performed by the dealership. So that means that whatever the Toyota dealership put in there at 10K, was not OEM Toyota oil.

Pros: oil lab report back
Cons: not OEM Toyota oil
Vehicle: Toyota
Mileage: 15000 km

I tell you the stuff really works. My 2009 Matrix used to burn oil before I switched to Valvoline Restore and Protect.

Pros: really works

i honestly have no way to prove if it works, but i started using it in my ‘98 corolla about 20k mi ago (known for burning oil due to flawed piston design) and have noticed a significantly lower oil consumption rate, which was almost 2qts every 5k down to less than half

Pros: lower oil consumption rate
Cons: burning oil
Mileage: 32186 km
