I use Rotella T4 on my 2.5L and have been for years because high ZDDP helps with the valve tapping I have going on. It has actually gotten quieter over time and feel the engine is running smoother than ever.

Pros: quieter engine, smoother running
Vehicle: Jeep Wrangler

Shell Engine oil

I’m using the 0w16 from Renault that probably is a Shell RN17, I have about 25.000km now and I will do the third change on the beginning of next year… but in the sandero that I also own I changed to 5w30 (from 0w20) both RN17 and the engine feels way softer and silent…

Pros: engine feels softer, engine feels silent
Vehicle: Renault Duster
Mileage: 25000 km

All three I ran Rotella T6 5w-40. I ran 5K oil changes with OEM or WIX filters. All had Blackstone oil analysis done, and all passed every time with flying colors.

Pros: passed every time
Vehicle: Subaru
Mileage: 8046 km

I tried Rotella when I first had my truck but it kept smelling like it was burning so I went to Valvoline Full Synthetic since it’s certified for Cummins.

Cons: smelling like it was burning
