I have a 2024 Jetta S with the 6 speed. Mine used about a 1/4 of a quart of oil in the first 500 miles. I topped it off and it hasn't use any since, now at 5K.
After talking to a European mechanic. He said u need Germany oil for a German car. American oil is trash bc of the EPA regulations. He recommended Pentosin. The tick tock went away and I've been using it every oil change
This one was done at the local VW dealership where they added 6L of VW oil and were nice enough to collect a sample of the oil for me to send off to Blackstone. The oil in this sample had higher quantities of wear metals present vs the 3rd sample, but that is to be expected as there were more than twice as many miles on the oil.
I have been using the Pentosin in mine and have not had any cam issues after putting in a new cam.
I had a 2009 Jetta diesel that used a bit of oil until it hit 60000 miles, then it stopped and did not use ANY between the 8000 mile intervals I used.
I did first oil change on Atlas at 5k then did 10k changes, but the 3.6 is lethargic compared to the GTI which I have been doing about every 4k miles.
I've added only one quart of oil to all the VWs I have owned over the past 35 years. I check the oil every 3 months, and get the oil and filter changed annually. I don't think that modern engines consume oil, at least, not for the first 100K miles of their life.
Eu 0w-30 folosesc la un golf 4 1.9tdi si sunt multumit, masina porneste foarte bine la frig, al meu drag motor mananca, si trebuie sa completez 100 ml la 5-600 km cv de genu.
Varies too widely, my trans am takes conventional oil and inexpensive filter and is an easy job, while a Porsche 911 requires removal of the oil pan and expensive oil, while my emission cheating Jetta only can use $10/qt special oil. Can be from $40-400.
Using the incorrect oil can cause damage and will definately void your warranty. Call the closest dealership and buy the oil for this oil change.
