As long as you get name brand oil at the weight your owner manual says you'll be good, I run penzoil in mine and she seems pretty happy with it
Finally ended up with Penzoil Plat. Can't tell a difference at all when the oil is fresh. Also engine never burned oil on Penz.
I have been running Pennzoil platinum euro in my 16 GTI its entire life and its now at 125,000km. I ran the same oil in my 2007 GTI before I sold it up until 190,000km. Never had a single problem, neither cars burned any oil.
Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5W-40. It’s LL01 approved
I use this oil, Total is like recommended by PSA.
I used pennzoil platinum euro blend in my 2014 Veloster turbo for probably 50k+ Atleast with no trouble.
I switched to the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, which is made from natural gas and it's probably the best full synthetic oil available now, IMHO
I run 5w30 in my 17 tundra, 16 Corolla and soon my 23 4Runner. My Tundra was noticeably quieter after the switch. The Corolla was quieter, but the change was not as dramatic as the 5.7 V8 in the tundra.
I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum because it is GF-6A and API SP full synthetic motor oil which are the latest and greatest standards.
If you have ever rebuilt an engine that used Pennzoil, you would never use it again. The top of the head will be covered in carbon.
