Engine oil PENNZOIL or RED LINE

Original owner ran Pennzoil ultra platinum and that I got 289,000 miles on that engine and turbo before I had a shop rebuilt it.

Been running PU since with no problems.

Redline is great, used it for years in a track car.

My STI also used it for a while (0w40), but then switched to Rotella.

Redline user have been since I picked up my 04 WRX wagon two years ago. Auto crossed and rally crossed. Works great have had zero issues, also at 170,000 miles on the original engine and still running strong.

Penzoil the best!

I use Pennzoil platinum euro because its dirt cheap from walmart and meets all specs. 135,xxx kms so far on the same oil.

I use Redline, similar quality and price to Amsoil, without the MLM BS.

Best bang for your buck is the ultra premium penzoil 0w 20. Meets the api certification and in terms of performance it essentially provides the same level of performance as the amsoil.

I run Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30. My FK8 is making over 500hp no issues

I tried pennzoil and didn't like it. The engine developed a soft tick after about 3k miles. Went back to Castrol and the tick hasn't returned.
