It worth looking at Total Quartz Ineo Long Life 0W-20, complies with VW 508 00. It will be my pick for my 2019 Tiguan 2.0 TSI EA888 gen3-B V100 = 8.1 V40= 40 VI= 183 Pour Point = -66 C
That'd be nice. I could just run the same oil in the Tig and my Golf TDI. 504/507 Total Quartz is quite a bit cheaper than the Castrol 0w20 and it's been doing great in my Golf according to the Blackstone reports.
I use total quartz. My tuner and other local shops that work on European cars highly recommend it.
Total 9000 seems to be just fine for my Pug and it is recommended by manufacturer.
I'm running 5w30 total quartz ineo mc3 502 505.01 in my '14 1.8tsi and my wife's '16 GSW 1.8tsi mqb. Great oil as the results speak for themselves.
i had previously been using Total Energy 9000 5-40 and had been running it for 2 seasons .i would change out the filter after 1 year and top it up with approx. 3/4 qt of fresh oil. i don't drive a whole lot and had only put on about 9,500 miles in that time. i just switched back to Castrol Edge 5-40 this week.
i switched from Castrol Syntec 5/40 to Total(ELF) 5/40--it's good stuff, long drain formula, too.their website says you can safely run it for 2 years before changing it out
Looks to be exact same procedure as on my e46. Perhaps the easiest oil change I've ever done. In fact, I've used the same brand and spec oil too, which is an BMW LL-01.
Total 5w40 took care of me to 8k with a 3071R. The oil is pretty decent stuff and not terribly expensive. I like their gear lube in my boxes. I run it in everything from my MKIV/B5 to my 07 Impreza 2.5i
Total 10w30. Don't burn a drop. Stage II.
