Motul is definitely the best
Motul 8100 X-Clean EFE 5W-30
People swear by Motul 7100 Synthetic Oil 4T.
Motul with oem black filter
Now I won’t say it felt faster, but it does seem smoother for some reason. Maybe I’m trying to justify $22.50 per quart.
I use motul 300v and that's exactly how it comes out
That's motul 300v, a high quality race oil that I use in my tuono. It's quite pricey but has a garish green colour. The smell of fuel is quite normal after a few thousand miles, if you had excess fuel in the oil it would be a much thinner consistency.
Motul 300V is a green oil designed for racing bikes, but some people put it in street bikes. I used to use it in my SV650 because it helped it to shift smoother.
I recently ordered my 5W-40 Motul 8100 X-cess oil for my 2016 Golf R and the label changed and it now says "gen 2" on the front. It appears the first version of this will remain available for some time but Gen 2 is backwards compatible and still VW 502 spec and is safe to use but this version specifically addresses euro 5 / Euro 6 emissions on newer low displacement, forced induction vehicles that are putting down high horsepower so this oil is an improvement for the EA888
We had 50700 VW spec oil in for 4,000 miles on the oil and 4,700 miles on the engine. The iron wear rate was about 15 ppm/1000 miles. The Longlife III oil did have impressive viscosity holding charictaristics. I did not care for the way the oil film of the 50700 wetted surfaces, it fisheyed on plastics.
