Engine oil MOTUL or OEM Audi

MOTUL Engine oil

Motul 8100xclean 5w40 during the summer since I'm in az and every day is 100+, the 5w30 loses its viscosity too fast in the summer

Pros: maintains viscosity in heat
Vehicle: Subaru
Mileage: 86000 km

Only use motul. XCess gen 2 5w40 for the ‘04 wrx. I get oil samples sent to the lab on the wrx and it has consistently been improving results since switching to motul. At first they were worried about the motor and now they say it looks clean as a whistle

Pros: improving oil analysis results, engine looks clean
Vehicle: Subaru

MOTUL Engine oil

I’ve (mostly) only used Motul in my scooters. Only destroyed two engines and the oil wasn’t to blame. (I was.)

Pros: Used Motul oil
Cons: destroyed two engines

MOTUL Engine oil

Started running Rotella T6. Happy with that...when my mechanic did a 12K service he used Motul 7100. It shifted poorly after that and I started to get a lot of clutch slip.

Pros: Happy with Rotella T6
Cons: poor shifting, clutch slip
Mileage: 12000 km
