Mobil 1. If you can find them, and if you can buy them original, no regret yo.
The newer 2.0TSI engines used a low friction oil scraper ring so they seem to use more oil than earlier engines. If not abused, then should be ok if you maintain the oil level.
Mobil 1 . When my engines run smooth, makes it worthwhile. Any newly changed oil is better than any old oil. But Mobil 1 > Rest of ‘em.
I used to use German Castrol 0w30, then Belgian Castrol 0w40, now I use Mobil 1 Euro 0w40 in most applications. Intervals of 5000 miles Every engine I've had ran great under this regime.
Mobil 1 0w20 ESP. Advance Auto and some Walmarts have it.
I used to get my 0-40 Mobil at WalMart for my Audi, because they were the cheapest.
Mobil 1 Advanced 15w50 automotive oil. Yes you heard me right. No it doesn’t cause clutch to slip. $25 for 5 quarts at Walmart. Best protection against friction and wear money can buy. 11k and zero issues. No metal shavings on drain plug after break in with factory oil.
Audi uses Mobil 1 at the dealer level. Stick with that.
Mobil-1 5w30 ESP (what most ppl use since it’s cheap but I’ve heard it isn’t the best, was recommended these others by a guy who’s been dealing with/tuning German diesels forever)
DO NOT use Mobil1 0W40 in the 2.5. I tried it and well before the oil change time, the engine sounded like a diesel with all sorts of valve train rattle.
