Mobil Engine oil

After some digging through some bimmer forums i saw people say viscosity is less of a factor than ensuring it's LL compatible. So the closest visosity i found in store was 5w-30 and i chose mobil 1 euro spec that was Ll-01 compatible.

Pros: LL-01 compatible
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 92000 km

PENNZOIL Engine oil

The engine itself runs great with the 48K I put on it in the past 2.5 years with biannual oil changes (Pennzoil Ultra Platinum). Averaging 27 MPGs on 91 Octane hwy miles, 24-25 mpg in the city.

Pros: engine runs great
Vehicle: Ford Maverick
Mileage: 48000 km

I put Mobil1 high mileage full synthetic 5w-30 in both my car and my wife’s. The same gets put in the snowblower and lawn mower. It’s been that way for years and they both cut the grass and throw the snow from -30F to 100F weather just fine.

Pros: works in extreme temperatures

I would trust a 0W-20 in a Toyota or Honda. After all, Honda and Idemitsu invented 0W-20, while Toyota worked with Idemitsu on 0W-8. I’ll reluctantly use it in a Subaru(and it must be Mobil 1 ESP X2 or Castrol Edge gold bottle with Mercedes/BMW/VW and/or GM dexosD/dexos2 approvals) but switch over to a ILSAC or Euro 5W-30 once warranty is up.

Vehicle: Toyota

Mobil Engine oil

Pretty pricy imo, used it once then when I consulted with friends/a family member I’ve decided to switch to Mobile 5W-40, as this helps with the temps in my area living in a desert lol.

Pros: helps with temps
Cons: pretty pricy
Vehicle: Subaru
