Engine oil LIQUI MOLY or RED LINE

LIQUI MOLY Engine oil

I have always liked and used Redline in my non-German cars. In my German cars, I have used either Lubro Moly (also known as Liqui Moly) or Pentosin, both in 5w40. Great synthetic oils, imo. I would not run Mobil or Castrol products if you gave them to me for free.

Pros: great synthetic oils
Cons: dislikes Mobil/Castrol

RED LINE Engine oil

If you're looking for high moly content, I like Redline oil. Google it, there's tons to read on Bob is the Oil Guy alone. That, as well as Motul, have been great in my 2.0T which is pretty hard on oil.

Pros: high moly content

I have only used Lubromoly/Liquimoly 5w-30 Full synthetic with the Mos2 Additive. Molydenum sulfide from liquimoly and my car runs super quiet and idle very smooth. I change my oil every 2500 miles..no matter what. Oil pressure is very good, zero shavings in the oil between oil changes. Additionally, I use the liquimoly engine clean between changes and like I mentioned before the car runs superb...no complaints here.

Pros: runs super quiet, idle very smooth, very good oil pressure
Part number: 5W-30 FULL SYNTHETIC

They were using the wrong oil- Shell 0-30, and it was clicking pretty loud when cold. I got the oil change kit from Duetche Auto and put in the Luqimoly. What a difference. I cant recommend it more. You will love it.

Pros: Makes a big difference, Highly recommended

Personally, i like the Lubro Molly stuff the best. While not too relevant to the MKVI and the TSI engine, when I used it on my former MKV with the FSI engine, I definetly noticed a lot less oil residue on my tailpipes and the engine just felt better, smoother and quieter.

Pros: engine felt better, smoother
Cons: less oil residue

LIQUI MOLY Engine oil

I change every 5K with Liquimoli 5w-40... I'd use 5w-40 over 5w-30, especially if you're doing any kind of upgrade to performance. Car will run a heck of a lot better.. 5w-30 is to thin when working an engine as hard as most of us do.

Pros: Car runs much better

LIQUI MOLY Engine oil

VW uses Castrol Edge 5w-40, it's what they used for mine too, i do like Castrol but not the one made here in UAE(Sharjah), therefore on my RS6 i am using Liqui-Moly Top Tec 4100(VW approved 502, 505, 505.01) which is only made in Germany and i very happy with it, therefore i am going to use it for the Phaeton as well!

Pros: very happy with it
Cons: not made in UAE
Vehicle: Audi RS6
