Engine oil Kendall or MOTUL

MOTUL Engine oil

Now if you were to get Motul 300V, there would be a real difference there. Higher end “boutique” oils have additives, such as esters that will build up a film on moving parts over time, adding a layer of protection if for some reason you were to lose oiling to that part.

Pros: layer of protection

Motul 8100 x-clean 5W40 seems to be the sweet spot, all of my friends drive it in EA113/EA888 engines.

Pros: seems to be sweet spot
Vehicle: Volkswagen

MOTUL Engine oil

I used the Kawasaki 10w-40 for the first year I rode mine, it would always have an odd mis shift here and there. Last year I used Motul 7100 and it made a huge difference, way less shifting issues

Pros: less shifting issues
Cons: odd mis shift

MOTUL Engine oil

If you are considering an oil additive, best practice is to instead use higher quality oil (I like motul) and select one which matches your use case.

Pros: higher quality oil
