Also, I have upgraded to Amsoil Synthetic Engine Oil which further helps for maintaining DPF health as it reduces ash that can accumulate and plug the filter.
My brand new one acted the same. I did an oil change at 1000 miles and went with Amsoil Hybrid 0w16. Since the oil change I really don\u2019t feel the vibration, much smoother.
On my 25’ Ranger Raptor I’ve done oil change at 500, 2500 and 5000 miles. Will continue every 5k. I run Amsoil signature series 5w30, with MC filter. Ford recommends 10k.
I had an 05 Corolla, it was my Amsoil testbed. After the first two oil changes for break in at 800 and 10k, only one oil change per year, 20-30k miles. Amsoil oil and filters.
At the end of the day, pretty much anything in spec will work fine.
That being said, I did a bunch of research for my V85 and determined that Motorex Cross-Power does the best in high demand applications. Air cooled engines can have a really wide temp range. That's what I use.
Amsoil Signature 0-30 ,Tokyo Roki Black Japan filter only and 5000k, soon to be switching to 0-40
My 05 Corolla had one oil change at 800 miles, one at 10,000 miles, and then once per year for 14 years until it was totalled at 330k miles.
I\u2019ve been using Amsoil Sig Series ever since my first break-in oil change. I used it in my old turbo Cobalt SS that I drove like a jackass when I was younger too. Never had any engine issues and Blackstone analysis shows that up to a 4,500 mile oil change interval is safe for my WRX.
AmsOil 10w30 for turbo engines... haven't had any issues yet. Still consumes it though.
Amsoil is overpriced and underperforms. I’ve bought $1000s of dollars of their race oils and have slowly realized all are near the worst on market, always the worst for the coin.
