I’ve had my Thinkware F800 Pro for almost 6 years now, it’s been installed in 3 diff cars and worked great in all of them. Dual channel (front and rear cams), motion detection, parking mode, the works with 1080p vid quality.
This, I got the garmin mini 2 for my wifes car, and wired it off the rear view camera. Super easy and the slimmest camera out there.
I have a Dashcam 46 that saved my bacon when an uninsured driver hit me. The police refused to issue any paperwork despite me showing them what happened.
Said this in the other thread, but Garmin Mini 2. Simple, no screen, made well and you can either use an app on your phone to pull the clips, or put the SD card in a card reader.
Thinkware has been great for me
I've had a Thinkware F800 dash cam and rear cam on my windshield for 4 years and it still works perfectly. I just have it connect to the aux power outlet and used the sticky mount it comes with.
Another one here with a Garmin Mini 2 its sooooo small that it fits right behind the mirror in the miata. It's perfect for what I need.
I have a few. The two models are the VIOFO A129 Pro dual and Thinkware U1000. I prefer the Thinkware. The plug layout on the VIOFO is annoying and I feel that the app for Thinkware works better.
I have the Garmin Mini 2. It doesn't have a screen and is only 1080p, but the quality is good enough, IMO — and, most importantly to me, it is tiny, hides behind the rearview mirror and doesn't look like a GPS from a distance.
Go to the end of this thread and go back and look at my posts. I have a full walkthrough of mounting my dash cam
