Brake pads Textar or Duralast

I’ve always put Duralast Gold pads and rotors on my vehicle. I’ve got no complaints and they have a lifetime warranty.

A few weeks ago I replaced the front pads and rotors on my ‘21 grand touring. I got Duralast Gold rotors and Duralast Elite brake pads from Autozone. An independent repair shop installed them. They are working fine. I decided to purchase from Autozone for the warranty, which is lifetime on the pads and 3 years on the rotors.

I got genuine discs from ML performance for much much less than dealer prices, coupled with textar pads made to the same spec as M4 pads (M4 pads are also a drop in upgrade, I believe textar is OE for M4 pads), noticed minimal difference in performance though.

I had the same problem. Just ordered ceramic pads from auto zone and swapped them out. Car is smooth and quiet now. I can’t stress enough the difference it makes for anyone dealing with the noisy rough brakes.

I bought Dynamic Friction for my wife’s car and have been happy with them.

I have Dynamic Friction 5000 low metallic pads, better bite than ceramics and no brake judder.

Replaced the rears with Duralast Elites today. They are a bit louder (you can hear the pad dragging on the rotor inside the car). Maybe they will not be as loud as they break in.

Quality pads and rotors tend not to warp out in a couple hundred miles. If you bought Durlast junk from Autoroo then that's the reason. Stick with OE/OEM Quality like ATE rotors and Textar pads.
