Got the OEM brakes installed not too long ago and they’re definitely worth the install. Two year warranty with them at VW.

Pros: worth the install
Vehicle: Volkswagen

Took my 2019 Golf R to the track with stock pads and rotors. The brakes started smelling really bad after 20 minutes of track time, and squealing a bit. Didn’t lose braking power significantly, but this is what they look like afterwards.

Cons: smelling bad, squealing

Raybestos Brake pads

I have the Raybestos EHT on my ol' Camry and Avalon. They lack longevity and will pulse toward then end of their usable life. The quality control has slipped a little of the years. You might have to file fit them(as with any pad). I'd say that they won't tolerate a hack installer. My EHT stopped better than my Akeboner proacts.

Pros: better stopping power (than Akebono)
Cons: lack longevity, pulse near end of life, slipped quality control, difficult installation

I got Raybestos pads+rotors back in December… 4mo later and already vibrating when braking so prob warped the rotors, and the pads already squeal at low speed braking.

Cons: vibrating brakes, squealing pads
