I always useToyota/Honda pads. No noise, and they last longer. NAPAs best pads may or may not squeal, factory pads don't.

Pros: no noise, last longer

Cons: NAPA pads may squeal

I have 112,000 miles on my 22.LE and no issues so far I even have original brakes

Pros: long lifespan, no issues

I stick to oem pads and rotors because they last a very long time.

Toyota Hilux 2018 185km- only thing i changed so far are tires, brakes, realignment(kapag lagi kang umaakyat sa pangit na daan) and drive train recently kakalaro daw ng shift stick.

Same issue here. I replaced the pads twice with the same brand (Duralast Gold), and the issue is still apparent. It appears to be an issue only with the 340mm brakes for Golf Rs and Tiguans.

Cons: knocking sound, persistent issue
