I'm running the JURID pads, too, and I'm at a little over 13k miles. No issues whatsoever...
I can tell the pads are fairly recent and are Jurid brand so I know they've been replaced recently.
I put 167k on a company owned 08 Silverado 4.8l. Oil, brakes and tires were all it ever needed and I beat the snot out of that truck.
You will need good 9.4" vented rotors & good pads like Ferodo, Pagid or Jurid.
The brake feel is linear and pedal feel is good, as well as for the go-pedal.
Jurid, like Pagid and ATE,and Lucas/Girling are all OEM suppliers to VW,the Jurid pads are a OEM replacement and make a hell of a lot of dust, but are less likely to "squeek" due to their softer compound.
Jurid = stock BMW E36M3 pads, pretty good on the street, not to good on the track. DOn't know if there are different types
Volkswagen uses Jurid and Pagid Black compound brakepads as OEM on our Passats. The problem is that these pads take a very long time to correctly bed into the brake rotors. If these pads aren't bed correctly, over time they will wear unevenly on the rotor which causes vibration. That vibration is what causes your brakes to squeal!!
