Brake pads Hella Pagid or TRW

Hella Pagid Brake pads

I fitted a Pagid discs and pads (fronts and rears) to my Octavia vRS a couple of months back and don't notice any difference from the previous OEM. Paid £230 just for the parts.

Pros: no difference to OEM

I use Pagid RSL29s on my M3, I don't bother switching pads after events. They work great on the street but I'm in Texas so it rarely gets below 45 degrees here. They squeal but the dust isn't too bad. I don't daily it but I wouldn't have an issue if I did. The squeal is annoying but really not too bothersome to me even though I drive 95% of the time with my windows down.

Pros: work great on street
Cons: squeal, some dust

TRW Brake pads

I didn't touch the calipers, I thought the calipers were ATE, but could be TRW. I only changed out rears at this time, fronts are still the same. The pads are TRW ceramic something or others that came with zimmerman rotors in the cheapish FCP kit.

TRW Brake pads

I like the stock TRW performance pack pads on Brembo rotors. Stock PP brakes are more than good enough for a daily driver that gets occasional spirited driving. I also got 65,000 miles on the original set, which is a bonus

Pros: long life, good performance
Mileage: 65000 km

One of my inner rear pads went at 110k. FCP euro has a full brake kit front and rear rotors with Zimmerman and TRW ceramic pads for around $400. It's OEM style replacement, so no real upgrade performance to speak but it's a daily not a track car and the price was right.

Pros: price was right
Cons: no real upgrade performance
Mileage: 110000 km

TRW Brake pads

They look about par for an economy, aftermarket brake pad. I use TRW on my beaters pretty often. Mine often don't come wrapped in anything other than a rubber band. They aren't OEM quality, but for 20 bucks a pair...I'll deal with it and have never had an issue.

Pros: inexpensive, usable
Cons: not OEM quality

be mindful with those pagid pads. they’ve been making noise on a lot of cars we’ve put them on recently. massive chucks of metals in them. still stop great but may make some noise

Pros: good stopping power
Cons: noisy, metal chunks
