I put Duralast gold's on all my vehicles. Got a good warranty and come with all clips and brake grease you need. They're ceramic also, so quieter and more smooth braking and significantly less brake dust. Last quite awhile (1-2 years) as long as your not heavy braking all the time. And they're not too expensive either, moderately priced. Plus a bonus, they're black and match my paint.
Autozone's Duralast Gold pads and rotors will run you about $300 for the set. They work very nicely. If you're even moderately handy or have a friend with the tools, it's less than 2 hours of work. If you have a decent setup with a lift, it's more like 45 minutes of work. $600 for labor is HIGH AF. This truck is the easiest brake job I've ever done.
I've bought brake pads, brake calipers and rotors from Duralast (Autozone). Not one problem with them. I'd do it again in heartbeat.
Ive got about 1k miles on the Autozone pads now and absolutely LOVE them. The feel is much better (progressive as opposed to grabby) and the dust! Oh the dust! Similar to the rear wheels which means I can drive further than 20 feet without having to clean them.
I had the Duramax Ceramic front set installed in my car last week. little to no dust. performs pretty much just like stock, only differences i've noticed is that its less grabby initially, and braking has a more linear feel.
Yep! Had them on for some months now. Cheap and effective, dust problem gone, end of story.
I just installed them on Saturday and I'm really liking it so far. Very linear feeling as well, and similar to stock, but less grabby out of the gate. The one main thing I noticed today is that my wheels aren't caked with brake dust, as they usually are with just one day of driving in stop and go LA traffic!
X2 Decided to try a set I these after seeing your review. Identical stopping power to stock, and they are extremely low dust. No noise, they fit tight in the carrier.
This is also a common problem for parts store chain pads, too, most notably Auto Zone's Duralast pads.
I won't even use duralast brakes on my daily driver, let alone a 3400 pound 200 mph missile..
