I've been driving it with a Stage 2 tune for 4 years and put another 50,000km on it and I've had 0 repairs. Maintenance is more expensive of course, bigger tires, bigger brakes, more oil, it all adds up but the B58 is super reliable.
I use centric high carbon rotor blanks and EBC reds. They're great, although not quite zero dust theyre less than stock. Very grabby in the cold though, worse than stock for that.
I use EBC Red Stuff. They have excellent modulation. EBC's website says that they are lower dust and last longer than Green Stuff.
Get you some Nitto NT555s, Caltracs traction bars, steeda lowering springs, GT500 swaybars, GT500 Fuel Pump, and a good set of brake rotors and pads from either Powerstop or EBC.
P.S. I run more aggressive and dusty brake pads - EBC Yellow Stuff
Since most pads won't even get that close to the edge, i wouldn't have thought twice about mounting it. Sure, i would check if it IS touching, but i really doubt it.
Did brake rotors and pads myself parts about 400-500$. Brakes never wore out either they just warped.
I always used EBC black organic pads; I tried HH pads briefly a few times but never liked the feel, especially in the rain.
Only pad I've had torque change on was EBC yellow, once it gets close to backing plate the brake torque drops off a cliff, I suspect it's the adhesive they used
don't do the Yellowstuff unless you are on board with a LOT of brake dust.
