Brake pads EBC or GALFER

GALFER Brake pads

I just installed Galfer HH sintered pads and they’ve been solid so far. Definitely an improvement from stock but they were getting pretty worn down

Pros: solid performance, improvement from stock

red stuff pads served me well on the street but overheated in my first auto cross day. No one should have any business driving them hard enough on the street to overheat them.

Pros: served well on street
Cons: overheated on track

EBC Brake pads

EBC says that their racing RP RP1 brake pads are compatible with their street lineup. So swapping pads back and forth won’t be a problem.

Pros: easy swap, compatible pads
Vehicle: Mercedes

EBC Brake pads

I use EBC YellowStuff. They are great on the street and very predictable & consistent at the track. My local track is not very brake intensive: I’ve run 8 track days on the same set of pads plus lots of street miles in between. They’re due to be changed before my next track day.

Pros: great on street, predictable

EBC Bluestuff NDX Appears to perform similar to DTC-30/ME20 or equivalent as a hybrid street/track pad. I know a couple fast drivers that use them with no fade. They're cheap enough that you might as well give them a shot, make sure "NDX" is in the product id.

Pros: no fade, cheap

I have run both 21 and 11 with an EBC bbk for mk5 Supra. The 21’s had way too much bite imo, the Mu is .65 which was the highest I had ever ran. I think they’d be great with slicks but I run street tires. ABS would trigger about 3/4 pedal travel, not fun. I switched to SR11 and was much happier. In terms of bite they felt much better on street tires. I can still get into ABS but I’d have to brake really hard which is where my muscle memory is anyways. Both pads were easier to modulate than what I came from(csg c21). I do enjoy the drastic reduction in bedding as well. I haven’t had issues with fading but I’m also running them with 15” rotors and have OEM cooling ducts so ymmv.

Pros: easy modulation, less bedding
Cons: too much bite, ABS trigger

I've used Yellow Stuff about 4 times on 4 different cars. I drive very aggressively on the street during midnight haulin ass events. First off, even on the street I glazed them on all 4 cars. The one car I fried them in one night, and they cooked my rotors too.

Cons: glazed, fried, cooked rotors
