Instead of replacing my brakes and rotors with OEM, I went with Akebonos (ceramic brake pads) and it’s shocking how much bite there is. Like I have to raise up my brake pedal at every red light or else I lurch forward. Also did a brake fluid flush.
Tire Rack has Akebono pads and wear sensors for Brembo caliper Q5's
Akebono Euro Ceramics are my pad of choice, put some on our 2023 to stop it from grinding
Zimmerman rotors and akebono pads. I put them on my jetta in sept and they're not showing any wear.
Akebono ProACT ceramics have been solid for me on multiple cars over the years. They're OEM supplier for a lot of manufacturers so you know they're not gonna be sketchy, and the stopping power is definitely an upgrade from stock without being overkill for daily driving
Akebono ProACT or Brembo OEM ceramic pads are great for strong, reliable stopping power and low dust on a 2019 Fusion Hybrid; if the rotors are worn, replace or resurface them too.
Akebono Pads and Zimmerman Rotors are a popular combo. I just did them myself a few months ago coming off OEMs and stopping seems better and way less brake dust!
The brake job was easy, I bought Akebono pads, Textar is what was on it. Mine make a grinding sound on driver side now under heavy braking, I don\u2019t see anything wrong upon thorough visual inspection so I need to disassemble that side again and take a closer look. Maybe get a different brand pad to potentially avoid this?
Hawk 5.0 can be *okay* if you aren't pushing to hard yet but theyre going to be a limitation.
Pads are akebono proact and they squeal a lot after driving
