Brake discs R1 Concepts or Textar

I went with R1 concepts. Really good brake rotors and brake pads so far. I’ve had their regular ones and just switched to drilled and slotted. I’ve noticed an improvement in braking after driving for a while as the brakes don’t heat up as much. But it depends on your driving style. R1 concepts kits also come with hardware if you select it which would help because the oem hardware get warn out after a while.

I have used R1 concepts geomet drilled/slotted rotors twice. The pads were pretty dusty but worked well.

Don't have experience with RS models, but we've used Textar brand rotors and pads for our Q5 twice and they're fantastic. Textar is an OEM supplier to Audi. The last set lasted us 90k Km and the bite/behaviour was the same as the original brakes.

I just did mine brakes & rotors on my 2019 1.5 and all parts from R1 Concepts, drilled & slotted. Feel so smooth!

I’ve used R1 rotors for over 15 years on everything from a Dodge minivan to all three of my BMW’s. I have not ever had one issue and will continue to buy them for years to come.

I got the the black R1 Concepts slotted and drilled ones for mine, thinking the same thing about the cosmetics. But the black wore off after a few stops. Still good breaks tho.

I have r1 concepts on right now. They haven't treated me bad at all.

If you have no interest to do anything other than normal driving r1 concepts will work. If you so much as do a little "spirited driving" they will bake and turn into crappy brownies. And refuse any type of refund even with 500 miles on them. I honestly preferred OEM. They lasted a nice long time, minimal noise, and they were actually really nice on track
