I have a drilled and slotted set with performance pads from R1 Concepts (was going ti replace pads but 1 rotor was bad). I have had them for about 4 months now and only complaint us the squeeky pads. I have a larger vehicle (Forester) so i feel the fade a bit sooner than most, but i feel these rotors do a good job of preventing that. I dont ride the brakea that hard but its still noticable.

Pros: prevents brake fade
Cons: squeeky pads
Vehicle: Subaru Forester

I have been using r1concepts brakes since my first car over a decade ago. There brakes can be found at jegs, amazon and rock auto. Compared a 2021 receipt to current. I don't have any experience with powerstop. But r1 concepts brakes are way better then factory I've gotten metallic and ceramic pads the eline and geo line of rotors. Geo was so good. Typical rotors in the winter when you park in the garage and the next day the first brake has that squeal where your breaking the rust off of the rotor the geos never had that problem. I always got drilled and slotted and it definitely significantly improved breaking and I never had an R1concept rotor fail.

Pros: better than factory, improved braking

I bought R1 Concepts vented and slotted rotors and EBC Yellow stuff brake pads. This is on my 2021 AWD Turbo. I still got more break in to do, but the difference is huge and immediately noticeable.

Pros: huge difference, immediately noticeable

These guys make great stuff and their customer service, if you need it, is exceptional. Only thing I put on my cars. My Mazda CX5 has drilled and slotted rotors, and my 13 C70 has slotted rotors. I will probably go with the Geo Carbons when my S60 needs them as I talked to a V60 owner that had them and he said those were the ones to get.

Pros: great stuff, exceptional service
Vehicle: Volvo S60

R1 Concepts Brake discs

I’ve got the R1 concept drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads, felt a decent difference from the OEM but my rotors and pads were at about 35% life so it makes sense that I’d feel a good difference. I do some spirited driving around town and the brakes perform pretty great.

Pros: pretty great performance
Vehicle: Subaru

Bought my 2018 Stinger GT new - within a few months my steering would shake like it had warped rotors - and it wasnt always the case - it would be ok at times, then come back. I use Auto Hold a lot - and it seems that feature causes the shaking in the steering wheel the more I used it. I did talk with Kia about it and they dismissed it and said it was fine - after being sick and tired of the shaking I went and bought new rotors and pads from R1 Concepts and havent looked back - no issues at all since I installed them and I use Auto Hold every single day.

Pros: no issues since install
Cons: steering wheel shake
Vehicle: Kia

If you have no interest to do anything other than normal driving r1 concepts will work. If you so much as do a little "spirited driving" they will bake and turn into crappy brownies. And refuse any type of refund even with 500 miles on them. I honestly preferred OEM. They lasted a nice long time, minimal noise, and they were actually really nice on track

Pros: OEM lasted long, minimal noise
Cons: bake, crappy, no refund
Mileage: 500 km
