Brake discs POWER STOP or Textar

POWER STOP Brake discs

I put the PowerStop rotors (slotted and drilled) and (ceramic) pads on our cars. They work just fine for our everyday driving scenarios. Have never had a case where stopping ability is in question. The first set now have +30k mileage and appear to be wearing at a satisfactory rate.

Pros: work fine, satisfactory wear
Mileage: 30000 km

Power stop z33 kit. Drilled and slotted rotors, carbon ceramic pads. VERY strong and progressive feeling. Inexpensive, and the kit was comprehensive. Would 100% buy them again.

Pros: strong feeling, inexpensive

I've been happy with PowerStop on RockAuto but make sure you get coated rotors cause they rust and look like dog shit if you don't.

Pros: happy with performance
Cons: rotors rust easily
Vehicle: Lexus

Pros: guter Rostschutz, lange Lebensdauer
Mileage: 70000 km

I put the Power Stop branded drilled/slotted rotors and Akebono ProAct pads on my 8th gen front and back. Brake performance definitely improved although the ceramics are definitely noisier than oem. Overall for the price id recommend it.

Pros: improved braking
Cons: noisy pads

POWER STOP Brake discs

Well I bought my own brakes and rotors for I think around $400. They are power stop z24 I believe. I have a “brake center of America” nearby and they charged me around $250 for the job.. look for a shop focused around brakes. That may help

Pros: good quality parts
Cons: expensive parts

I did the powerstop drilled slotted rotors thing on my Outback 3.6 which I’d run on the heavy side on family trips. The Gen 4 Outback’s are known to have poor brake performance and I thought it would be a smart upgrade for extra margin. In the end I wouldn’t recommend. More noise, faster pad wear, premature cracking around the drilled holes on the rotors, questionable performance upgrade.

Cons: more noise, faster pad wear
