Brake discs DBA or Raybestos

Raybestos Brake discs

I replaced both front rotors and all side pins and dust boots with Raybestos stuff a few weeks ago. Easy job, cost $150ish instead of $800 or whatever dealer charged nonsense

It's a commuter and it stops fine

Pros: easy job, stops fine

Raybestos R-300 for rotors and Akebono ProACT for pads. Almost no dust, no brake fade and the right price. Everyone recommends the PowerStop stuff, but they wear fast and are noisy.

Pros: no dust, no fade, good price
Cons: PowerStop wears fast, noisy

Only installed dba dimpled and slotted rotors with bendix suv pads. Better bite than standard. Only had it for 1000km while towing my 4.5m tinny. Cant help with longevity

Pros: better bite than standard
Mileage: 1000 km

DBA Brake discs

I run dba rotors and endless pads on my Z, and for fast street use they’re great but on track they’re okay. Pedal gets soft halfway through the day and the rotors have developed some small microcracks after 5 days of use and street miles.

Pros: great for street use
Cons: pedal gets soft, microcracks
Vehicle: Nissan
