My DBA T2-T3 are coated and have no rust on them after over 5k km.
I usually just use the built in threaded rotor removal bolt holes on Toyota rotors, they usually work very well... Much better than beating the shit out of the rotor with a sledge hammer, all that does is hammer the wheel bearings to death unnecessarily.
Run DBA on my R32 GTR. Lot of Autobahn shenanigans and terrorizing small twisty village roads.... they're great!
I have DBA T3 rotors on both my 350Z and R34 GTT, I\u2019ve never had an issue with them.
I have DBA rotors all around on my BCNR33 and they are wonderful.
DBA is fine as an upgrade, can highly recommend Stoptech as wel. If combined with PFC pads (not too agressive, I think .9 or .10/.11 compound) and new brake fluid + braided lines it feels so much better and safer.
I will say this that I have noticed a measured difference in my vehicle's ability to stop and in the Brake bite is more pronounced
EBC rotors are fine. DBA rotors are generally excellent but a bit pricey. DBA T2 slotted are great if they have a size for your model/application. StopTech/Centric are good.
Just got DBA rotors and HPS 5.0 pads with Stoptech lines and Motul RBF600 fluid. Amazing upgrade. Rotors are a preference most top tier brands are the same. If you want street pads the 5.0 are the best
Just an FYI. I just did the brakes and rotors on my LS430. Brake pads are the easiest job ever did. it's just a pin and a clip. Rotors require removing 4 bolts and replacing them as they are drop bolts. Still easiest brake job I have done on a car and I did for around I think 400 with OEM parts
