Battery YUASA or OEM Subaru

OEM Subaru Battery

with the auto start/stop eliminator installed after 1 year of ownership (using the auto start/stop feature the first 6 months and manually disabling it the last 6 months), my 2019’s battery lasted 5 years and 160k km before it started feeling weak and was replaced as a precaution.

Pros: battery lasted 5 years
Cons: battery feeling weak
Mileage: 160000 km

My 2021 with 84k miles was very similar. Even had the auto start fail to restart the car once when it was cold. I just had the battery replaced with the new larger size one and it made a huge difference.

Pros: huge difference
Cons: auto start failed
Vehicle: Subaru
Mileage: 84000 km

OEM Subaru Battery

My 7.5 yr old Forester is still on the original battery. I did need a jump a couple weeks ago after sitting with the lights on for a half hour, which was weird, but it's been fine since

Pros: long lifespan
Cons: needed jump once

YUASA Battery

I bought a 6v Yuasa battery for my old Harley and it lasted about six months. Would drop from fully charged to 2.5 volts in a week of sitting.

Cons: lasted about six months

YUASA Battery

Yuasa used to make great batteries, would get ten years out of a battery ('91 R100GS) outside w/o a battery tender. Not any more, the last two were good for six or seven months

Pros: used to be great
Cons: only six or seven months
Vehicle: BMW

YUASA Battery

I should have bought a yuasa. I bought another brand and rode it hard and two days later it wouldn\u2019t start. I ordered a yuasa since that\u2019s what was in there.

Pros: ordered a yuasa
Cons: wouldn't start
