Battery Panasonic or OEM Mercedes

Panasonic Battery

Panasonic Eneloops for me all the way. Bit of an initial investment, but they work so well they're all I buy now for anything that needs batteries. They even kept my Pix running for almost 10 days!

Pros: work so well
Cons: initial investment

When you say, \u201ctwo new batteries\u201d are you speaking of the big ones? There is a small one that operate your convenience/comfort items. It looks like a small garage door battery.

The OE Panasonic battery in my WRX died roughly 12 minutes after I bought the car. It was the original, so it was 9ish years old. Impressive.

Pros: impressive lifespan
Cons: died quickly
Vehicle: Subaru

When I bought my 2006 4Runner V8 three weeks ago, it had the original Panasonic battery on it's last leg and I had it replaced with a Toyota True Start battery. The 4Runner only had 109,600 miles when we had that battery replaced.

Pros: long lasting
Cons: on it's last leg
Mileage: 109600 km

OEM Mercedes Battery

The batteries Mercedes uses seem to be really poor quality. I have a daily class and it seems they are changing the battery every 1.5 years so far on average…

Cons: poor quality, frequent replacement needed

OEM Mercedes Battery

I've dealt with this issue on both of my newer AMG vehicles. My older ones never had this problem. From my understanding, this is caused by the new mbux system being a bit of a power hog. I eventually had to invest in a trickle charger, and I have to charge both of my AMGs 3-4 times per year. It gets worse as your battery gets toward the end of its lifespan.

Cons: power hog, frequent charging needed, issue worsens
