Currently running a yellow Optima, 3 years and going strong. I don't recall what the OE battery was but it crapped out after 2 years in mild California weather.
I had an older optima yellow top last about 10 years. I miss when that quality was available
On my 2014 Leaf SV I put in an Optima Yellowtop and it lasted over 7 years.
I have a 10 year old yellow top Optima (not even the nicest thing out there) that starts a 440 (often 9 months between starts) every time. I haven't even put a tender on it in the last 5 years.
I still prefer Duracell.
Optima seems to be the only brand of cylindrical Pb batteries for automotive use... pretty much every other automotive Pb battery is prismatic.
That's the first I've seen one fail this way.
Mind you this throttle body is brand new.
FWIW…. I’ve had 3 Duracell batteries and all have died within 3 years of manufacture date, and they have a 2yr warranty.
One day my alternator went and killed the optima battery
I'm not putting a Duracell in my car, they can't even make a double A that doesn't leak within the year.
