Toyota Prius, the battery isn't that big of a deal, the health can be checked with an app and a dongle, and they;re the most reliable cars on the planet.
Duralast AGM. No leaking, minimal to no corrosion, god life, decent power, and most importantly it was readily available.
Pruis 12v battery last a long time. I just replaced my 11 year old battery. It was still working I just decided to do it as maintenance.
I have a ‘24 RAV4 Prime and a ‘13 Prius V. I can say that my battery and fuel efficiency on both vehicles drops between 30 and 40% as soon as the cold weather hits. Range on the RAV4 Prime goes from 80km/charge to about 55-60km in cold weather, plus the gas runs more often so I don’t go as far on a tank (~1300km winter vs our record 2100km spring/summer).
I bought a Duralast Platinum H5 AGM. I have read several instances of Subaru of America reimbursement.
I did this accidentally and my car never stops at traffic. After 3 years the original battery died and I had to replace. I replaced with an after market battery that matches the ratings but not from Toyota dealer. Ooops all works fine except the auto start stop. it says \"incompatible battery\" but never shuts off at traffic signals.
Drive a 2018 Nissan Rogue, about 80k miles. Have a Duralast Gold battery from Oct 2023, but live in central Texas where I hear batteries don't last as long.
Both Duralast Golds. Went with Neverstart AGM from wally world about 2 months ago.
Last December, the OEM battery died and I replaced it with a new Duralast battery from AutoZone. Fast forward to today, the car wouldn\u2019t start at all. Had to jump it just to get it running and drove straight to AutoZone to get it tested.\n\nBattery tested good. Starter tested good.\nBut the alternator failed, specifically the charging current test.
Having been burned with low quality auto parts store batteries (specifically for the Prius) and their being unable to honor their warranties, the Toyota battery is the only way to go.
