I put an Optima Red Top in it when my tester showed it below 75% health, about a year ago.
IMO, the Optima Yellow top is your only option. It will last 5-10 Years.
Absolutely not true. I use an Optima battery, works great. Have for a few years now since my 2nd garbage oem battery went out. Or was it the 3rd?
I installed an Optima yellow top in my 2023 OBW. Works fine!
Currently running a yellow Optima, 3 years and going strong. I don't recall what the OE battery was but it crapped out after 2 years in mild California weather.
I decided to get a 2019 titan at 55k miles haven’t had any major problems! But they do have an electrical problem with the battery. Fix: disconnect a grey plug that’s on the negative cable! It regulates the alternator voltage. It can cause the battery to fail quicker over time! But I like that the truck is always running on 8 cyl and still uses a power steering instead of electric steering!
My wrx would be parked for long periods and I had optima yellow tops. I liked how hard it cranked, good for e85 cold starts. But wow, after the second one went flat I stop getting them. Bought some random battery and it\u2019s been holding charge no problem.
From my experiance with the optimal batteries you are better off with a Walmart battery and save money. I tried the optimal 2x. Both failed within a year. They were warranties but the replacements didn't last much longer.
Red Tops are sh* and have been for 10+ yrs at this point. \nThe last 3 or 4 I had didn't last 2yrs and I got warranty replacements, which also lasted 2yrs. For $300+ they are sh*.
Only problem was when a battery blew and that totalled my last Leaf after 154.000 km (98000miles) .
