OEM Volvo Battery

My 2017 original battery stayed alive for 8 years and 148k miles fascinated me how long it lasted and the fact that the auxiliary battery is still fine

Pros: stayed alive for 8 years, long lasting
Vehicle: Volvo S60
Mileage: 238182 km

OEM Volvo Battery

The factory battery in my 2007 S60R lasted just under 10 years, and I thought that was remarkable. Much more expensive than an auto store battery though but you get what you pay for I guess

Pros: lasted just under 10 years, remarkable lifespan
Cons: much more expensive

My 3 years old XC60 battery has been diagnosed as bad 55% last 2 weeks ago, I said to them keep it as I feel they are still good and road worthy. Gonna do a snapshot again at another 6 months to evaluate.

Pros: still good and road worthy
Cons: diagnosed as bad 55%
Vehicle: Volvo XC60

OEM Nissan Battery

a used 2013-2015 Nissan Leaf. Tennessee winters should be at least somewhat mild so they should be gentler on the battery, and it's best if you can park it somewhere in the shade. They often go for $2k-$3k private sale around me because the battery life is fading and nobody wants a car with 40-60 miles of range after "filing up." Slow charging using a standard 110V outlet is better for the battery and should suffice for your use case as long as you can charge overnight and maybe longer over weekends.

Pros: slow charging sufficient, gentler on battery in mild winters
Cons: fading battery life, limited range
Vehicle: Nissan Leaf

Paid charging is problematic mainly because the T8 charges so slow. You'd have to leave your car at a charger for like 5.5 hours to fill the battery.

Cons: slow charging speed

I had an Volvo XC90 hybrid. The car is ok, but the battery/motor part is garbage. It has a 10kwh battery, but can only drive for 18 miles on battery, the energy efficiency is way low than my model X.

Cons: battery is garbage
Vehicle: Volvo XC90

replace battery twice..something is draining it..and 3 x not starting...had to use a jump starter to get it to turn over... no codes registering and dash indicators are not helping..once I get it running all warnings disappear....so I drive around with when is it going to happen again....

Cons: battery draining, not starting
Vehicle: Nissan
Mileage: 64374 km
