Battery Energizer or OEM BMW

OEM BMW Battery

Everyone likes to shit on BMW for being too complicated when it comes to having to register batteries with the car, but this is the result. Batteries in other cars die way more quickly.

Pros: last longer than others

OEM BMW Battery

The battery on my previous F20 lasted over 12 years before I replaced it last winter. Had enough voltage but bad resistance readings, mechanic advised me to change it for the winter.

Pros: over 12 years longevity, enough voltage
Cons: bad resistance readings
Vehicle: BMW

Not going to say yes or no,but get a battery check before buying it ???? Bmw warranty covers the battery up 6year or 100.000km,so no more battery warranty.. It has 6 modules to replace(not 1 battery) and last time i checked it was around 1000 per piece without labour. My 2020 330e with 98000km had this check and it was at 84% state of health,so this one might not be looking so great.. but get it checked anyway

Pros: battery check recommended
Cons: no battery warranty, costly module replacement
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 98000 km

OEM BMW Battery

The battery lasted about two years. I had a company car at the time and only drove the BMW on my days off, and didn't drive long or far. The short, infrequent drives basically never allowed the battery to completely charge, resulting in it's early death.

Cons: early death, lasted two years
Vehicle: BMW
