Yes and you can go the route I suggested earlier, with a Group 47 AGM , Deka brand. I paid $135 for mine 4 years ago at Battery Mart. Fit is good, just add a wedge under the battery hold clamp. Cannot leak acid due to the design. I run diesel farm tractors, too. AGM's are the only batteries I can get a decent life from due to the vibration. The extra capacity over the standard lead acid batteries is great for the cold morning diesel start. My point is that they are quite durable. An AGM for a Rabbit is not overkill when you consider the quality problems in regular lead-acid batteries these days.

Pros: durable, cannot leak acid
Cons: add a wedge
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Part number: 47

I've always been a fan of Deka batteries, their ETX15 should be the correct battery.

For about a month I have owned a 2016 REx whose 60 Ah battery is supposed to get 72 miles. This week I fully charged it and have been commuting four four days without topping up. Today the REx kicked in with the trip meter at 73.3 miles. This was a mixture of city traffic jams and short bursts on the carriageway, mostly with the air con on and mostly in Comfort mode. So I'm pretty pleased.

Pros: good range, satisfactory performance
Vehicle: BMW

Deka aka East Penn is the best battery manufacturer out there. They dont leak as much, they last typically 3-6 years depending on circumstances

Pros: best battery manufacturer
Cons: depends on circumstances

Deka batteries are still good quality. They are somewhat harder to find than other brands.

OEM BMW Battery

Pros: robuste Batterie
Cons: 10-15% Reichweitenverlust
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 80000 km

I just upgraded mine a few weeks ago, ended up getting a DEKA AGM 9AGM47 More CCA and far more reserve capacity than the stock battery (120 mins) I was at ~35k miles and my OEM battery was failing fast.. I couldn't leave it in the accessory position without the engine running for more than a minute or two or it would barely be able to crank. The OEM battery is crap as far as I'm concerned

Pros: more CCA, more capacity
Cons: OEM battery is crap
Mileage: 56300 km
Part number: 9AGM47
