Prestone is designed to be compatible with the Toyota Red coolant, which is also POAT. Should be fine.
I’ve had no issues with Prestone Platinum in my MK6 CJAA TDI. It’s been in for 4 year 65k mi.
my buddy put the Preston stuff in his v6 cause you can mix with all colors and hes been fine for 6 months now not an issue.
I topped mine off with prestone platinum. Meets Ford spec and has been fine
last time I needed to top off my coolant, I used Prestone and been fine for last 15k miles
I only ever use Prestone universal coolant, from my newer car to my 1962 bulldozer.
You're not supposed to add tap water... distilled water is fine for emergencies, but always top up with coolant whenever possible
I just use prestone, it's green coolant. It's universal for all fuel types and coolant systems. I have never had any issues in the many years I have been using it.
that prestone that says it can be mixed with any type of coolant can do just that. You can mix it with pretty much anything and it won't cause a problem. The industry is well aware that if you mix certain types of coolants, you will end up with a sludge so they make this prestone stuff too be compatible with everything. Now, just because it's compatible, doesn't mean it will last as long as some of the other coolants when they are 100% the exact coolant.
I stopped at the gas station, got a gallon of good old tried and true Prestone Green which destroyed a water cooled alternator.
