OEM Honda Antifreeze

I have looked at the additive packages on all Honda compatible coolants. Many other manufacturers (Toyota, Ford, Hyundai, Mazda, Subaru) have switched to similar coolants that are slightly worse than Honda coolant. Honda has the strictest requirements for their engines that they refused to give their engines to GM for Saturn cars after GM said they will require GM coolant. Here are my rankings:

1) Honda Type 2 (OEM) Coolant Best OEM coolant Has about the same Diethylene Glycol and anti corrosion and detergent additives

Pros: Best OEM coolant
Cons: slightly worse
Vehicle: Honda

Pentosin Antifreeze

I've always used the Pentosin equivalent in all my Volkswagens and Audis. Pentosin E/SF. Pentosin SF is G12 (pink) -2005, Pentosin E is G13 (violet) 2006 onwards. Safe to mix with factory fill, of course can always go to the dealer for coolant too. These are concentrate, so you do have to mix 50/50 with distilled water though

Pros: safe to mix, reliable performance

Pentosin Antifreeze

I had a bunch of Audi G11 kicking around from my Audi 100 that I used to have. Made by Pentosin, same smurf piss BMW used.

Put it in my e90 when I did the water pump.

Pros: same as BMW
Vehicle: BMW
