Alternator OEM Honda or Denso
It was a brand new denso and no leaks
I did the alternator recently on my 2013. The price of the part was about the same.
Mechanic put in a different kind, and I spent all last summer with dead batteries. After a lot of troubleshooting, and thinking there was a parasitic draw, we found the alternator was bad. Replaced w/ Denso, and no problems since.
I replaced my odysseys alternator with a denso and it's been great i also think denso was the oem part anyway.
For anyone looking for a drop in upgrade, I used a 105 amp for a Suzuki. Made by Denso. No harness needed, plugs right in. Going strong for a couple years now in my 3rd gen.
I just replaced mine and went with a denso reman. They are the makers of the oem alternator so I’d trust them more than other brands.
Denso is likely the OE manufacturer, as they provide a lot of MOPAR OE alternators and I know they do for the T&C/Voyager/Pacificas.
I did the Alternator on my ES350 (same 2GRFE engine) and it sucked. It was my first major repair project and took almost all day for me.
On day two, the Denso overheated and failed, the diodes had burnt out. I replaced it with the stock 70 A Suzuki alternator, which failed the same way on day four.
After buying 4 reman "Dura-CRAP" alternators in less than 3 months... I cut the already bad plug pigtail off a Camry in the JY and bought it and the Denzo Alternator it had, drove the car like that for 2 more years before I parked it.
