Alternator Denso or OEM BMW

I bought one online to pick up at store and when I went to open the box something was scraping internally. No shipping damage or box damage. I bought a Denso for a different car (Toyota's OE) and I've had no issues with it. The only problem is it only carries a 1yr warranty.

Expect to shell out more $ for a Denso though if that's the route you go.

A reman Denso is about $100 more than other brands. But main thing is the labor cost. It is pretty hard to get to the Alternator for Odyssey. Saving some money with a cheaper brand has a greater risk to incur the labor cost again.

Solved both of those issues with a reman Denso. Just spend the money. One good alternator is cheaper than two crappy ones.

Denso no doubt. It's the only brand I'll buy for an alternator or starter.

Replaced with OE spec brand new ones TWICE and it didn\u2019t fix the problem. Ended up buying a brand new Denso OEM on Amazon or eBay. I don\u2019t remember which and it fixed the problem for five years now.

you dont even need ISTA to figure out the alternator is dead. A fresh and charged batter will sit at 13v, used should always be around 12v. while charging it should be 13v. the fact this is dropping while the car is running suggests a shot alternator right off the bat

Just replaced the original alternator on mine last weekend. Battery light came on while running errands, managed to get it home without issue. The next day battery was completely drained. Charged it up, as soon as I reconnected the battery terminals I had a 10 amp draw (car was off) and the alternator started smoking. Put a reman Denso in and all is well a week later.

Honda Alternators are crazy expensive. I don\u2019t recommend aftermarket unless you can get a Denso.

We were on our way back from a daytrip when the M3's alternator decided to give up the ghost about 1.5 hours from home.
