I will use WIX air filters anytime. Even a thin pre-filter layer under filter. Thicker too. Impressive!
No, absolutely not!! I like WIX filters but any major brand is fine!
No, but get Wix
WIX been using mine for 12,000miles on my 2019 Honda Civic EX and MPH went from 23 average to 30.5 average this is after 9 months on using the same filter. I’m gonna replace it with another WIX filter today. Last a lot longer than the OEM filter and kept my car more quiet as well
I love my green filter to death, needs to be cleaned lol, but I absolutely love the sound. Everyone keeps telling me to get a blow off valve but the green filter is all it needs, more than enough intake noise and turbo flutter
Well even if you don’t take off the AirBox lid, the green filter is 100x better than stock. I personally loved Green over K&N because it’s bigger and green is fun compared to black. I have my intake lid off and hear turbo, BOV, and other noise. It’s great!
Green filter + no airbox is the way to go. It might be a little louder with just the filter, but im not sure by how much. I went years without the airbox lid, its all good
Well I'm glad I use Wix filters after seeing this test for my engine air and cabin air filter.
Project Farm has some really good reviews - and for most people, the Wix is the best daily driver. The K&N it seems letting in more particles may not be the hearsay and this does make a case for this being a legitimate concern.
It will make some difference in temp, since it opens up the side of the airbox, even if you leave the lid on. The upswing on temp shouldn't be major, especially this time of year. I run mine with the lid on.
I had a green filter on for about 5k miles and I noticed it let a ton of pollen into the intake. I switched back to the OEM paper filter and the pollen was cut down substantially.
