I have always used double plat or ngk laser iridium with no issues in my 2.5.
Owner reviews for spark plug
I ran stock plugs for a while and they got chewed up fast. On NGks now and even pushing 29 psi they keep the gap well.
I run the IS38 FBO and beat the crap out of my car and use stock heat-range Rutheniums.
I use [Denso IKH24's](https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/audi-vw-spark-plug-denso-ikh24). It's the projected tip version of the Denso plug EQT has recommended on their FAQ (IKH01-24).
Spark plugs. NGK 4 lyfe
NGK spark plugs are preferred in rotary engine (RE) Mazdas and Nippondenso is the only acceptable substitute that I ever found. We dealership technicians, always found it remarkable how a set of Champion or AC spark plugs could instantly cripple a rotary powered Mazda.
My 2017 Jetta SEL with LFER7BHX 9512 plugs starts/runs fine at 50076 miles, 0-100 degrees F.
I ran Beru RS7 plus which are one step colder when I tuned stage 1 and they didn't last at all. Might have been under 10,000 miles. Recently went with NGK plus that APR reccomends for stage 2 and so far so good. No misfires since.
I think I just went back and got the Bosch. Couldn’t return either because I jacked up the nips trying to tweak them off ????
Don't think the platinums give much of a performance advantage and they foul faster if you've got any oil burning going on...
