I got Koni Oranges with Vogtland springs on the MK5 Rabbit.

5100s all 4 corners, top lift setting in front with 1" taller rear block on my 2008. No, not jarring. Firm in the sense that the weight of the truck is well controlled, but still comfortable. In no way is it harsh.
I just pulled my stock ranchos from my 15 all terrain. They had some life left , surprisingly after 169k miles. I put the 5100’s on, and it’s a world of difference. Ride is way smoother, less bounce.
KYB. As good as OEM.
I put 4600 on mine to replace the shot OEM ones and I love them.
Put 4600's on mine and consistently get wild offroading and crawling. They're a good option, not premium, but sufficient
I just put kyb excel-G on my 07 xlt. Rides a little stiff but handles way better. And is definitely night and day riding over bumps/backroads
Went with KYbs to replace the originals on my 96. Drives like new and they were cheap off rock auto
As for the continental kit affecting the handling, I really don't think it makes a difference, the handling is terrifying! There is a long 90 degree curve near me, and when I try to push the car thru it, I get body lean, tire squeal, and understeer that slowly gives way to a neutral attitude.
I tried the 034's as well, had Bilstein B8's with MSS kit adjustable springs. Broke the top stud off the B8's and when I sent them to Bilstein for warranty they blamed the stiffer upper strut bushing.
